What a rough 2 weeks...

Well it has been a rough 9 days since Kory's B-day...
Monday he had a fever of 102* in the morning and most of the day, it was 100* at night and it kept us up every few hours checking on him. Tuesday I stayed home with him since he was still running a fever in the morning. It finally broke mid day but he was still fussy, we found out he had "roseola" so on Wednesday he broke out with a rash all over his body. That went away the next day but he also broke out with blisters on his feet and hands...he also was exposed to someone at daycare that had "Hand, Foot and mouth" virus so his mouth had some sores in it and he had 4 or 5 blisters on his feet along with ANOTHER fever.
All that finally went away Saturday thank God...but Laura woke up with a 102* temperature and had hot and cold flashes and woke up in a pool of water that she sweated out during the night. She flew to Virginia for training on Sunday morning feeling like crap on an empty flight. She has training until Friday and couldn't miss this one since she missed the last one when her father passed away.
I have Kory to myself all week and to top it all off this morning he was crabby, had a runny nose and was drooling a lot. I looked in his mouth and his bottom molers are coming in this week.

Daddy's little helper!

While mowing the lawn this morning Kory was curious what was making all the noise, he followed me around with a funny look on his face and then decided to go get his own mower and help out.

1 year old!!!!

It's hard to believe Kory turned 1 year old last weekend, it seems like only a few days ago we were wondering what he would look like, what color hair, what color eyes.... He has gotten so big so fast and has become a little boy. He keeps us busy chasing him around the house and yard. As you can see Kory had fun digging into the Birthday cake that Grandma made for him, he scored tons of clothes and toys from family and friends. It won't be long before he is talking, he blurts out mama and dada now and then...along with a bunch of other stuff that I have no idea what he means.

Almost a year old

Well next week Kory turns 1 year old, it's hard to imagine at this time last year Laura and I were walking the neighborhood daily to try to bring him into this world. He babbles all day long and moves from one part of the house to the next. He is into everything and is mischevious exploring every single drawer or door that opens in the house. Kory loves to chase the cats all over the house and gets frustrated when he can't catch them. The past few weekends he has been in the pool again, he did really well even though the water is mid 70's. When we are in the backyard or front yard he is off exploring and soaking things up like a sponge.

Easter weekend @ home

Laura and I spent the weekend at home with Kory, he had fun playing in the backyard and exploring. He is interested in EVERYTHING these days and loves to take laps around the outside of the pool.

Getting caught up with us

We went to the desert last weekend and Kory got to play with his buddy Nathan, both boys are getting big fast and I'm sure in no time will be running around in the sand doing what boys do...getting into mischief!
Kory is 10 months old today and has really taken to walking, he loves to go from room to room and pretty much is all over the house. He loves to bang the cabinet doors and drawers and just make noise in general. The pool is heating up fast with the warm weather so he should be back in the pool in a few weeks.
