Laura and I took a day off from work to take Kory to the Zoo again along with some local friends and some friends from Colorado. We spent the day looking at the animals and going into the petting Zoo. Enjoyed a roof top BBQ in Ocean Beach and had the annual "Savage Family Backyard BBQ"
We spent another weekend at the river, Kory enjoyed playing in camp with his buddy Nate and a few of the other kids that were down. It was nice and toasty but we all managed to have a great time and keep cool. Kory is really starting to become a "little boy" and is starting to show his independence.
Well we went to the river again this past weekend, despite temperatures reaching into the 110* - 120* range Kory did really well, we kept him hydrated with lots of water and gatorade. He got to play in his "Tug Boat" floaty and I took him on his first tube ride. Laura and I both got to wakeboard and Kory watched very attentively from the boat. We will be heading back this coming weekend for what might be the last trip until it cools down.
We spent Father's Day at the Zoo today, Kory was really curious as he saw all the animals. He did great in the petting zoo as all the goats walked around him, the only time he got a little spooked was when he took his picture with the Zoo Koala.
Loaded up the truck Friday and headed to the river to fish, hang out, relax and get some stuff done around camp. Laura had a lot of fun fishing with Kory, he laughed and smiled when the fish were out of the water. Kory and I had a lot of fun playing in the water and on the beach, he got to play with a few of our neighbors girls and spend some time running around their camp. After a beautiful sunrise and some time on the water we headed home to finish off the weekend.
This weekend we decided to just stay home and relax and enjoy the weather, pool and BBQ. It was a nice and toasty 107*, but the pool was nice and refreshing. Kory had a lot of fun floating, going under water and playing with all of his balls and cars. He loves to kick or throw his balls and chase after them. When he is playing with his cars he makes "his car" sound "rrrrrr" "rrrrrr" "rrrrr" and smiles and laughs. He also really like to play "chase" where he comes over to you and runs away laughing. It was nice to see him laughing, smiling and playing after the 2 weeks that he had.
