Getting caught up with the past few months

We have been busy, busy, busy....to say the least. We have gone on 3 river trips in the past month and have really enjoyed the end of the summer. Kory has gone on dirt bike rides, jet ski rides and is really using his words to let us know what he wants. He loves to ride his quad to the mail box and back and plays with the neighbor kids whenever he gets a chance. This will be his 2nd Halloween, he can say "twick o tee" and then lets out a laugh. Here are a few pictures from recent trips.

Oh boy...

Well we have been busy with a trip to the local aquarium in La Jolla and another trip to the river. Kory had fun looking at all the "sish" (FISH) and playing with the marine life in the kiddie tidepool. On our river trip he wanted to drive the boat and likes to try to climb on the back of the boat while mommy or daddy is in the water. Kory likes to eat rice for dinner although he always manages to get it all over the place. We are starting to keep the doors to all the rooms locked now, he learned how to turn the knob and open all the doors including the one to the patio. So it looks like we will be re-installing the alarms on the doors where there is access to the pool. He also learned how to drop the "F" bomb this weekend so it looks like daddy better watch his mouth from now on. Other than the usual boy stuff he is all over the place and is starting to say more words each day. Some of them are pretty funny, we say "kitty, kitty, kitty" Kory says "diddle, diddle, diddle" Each day brings something new and just a second ago he walked in with a wipe in his hand and while mommy said "wipe" he showed me he knows how to wipe his own butt!

16 months old....

Kory is officially 16 months old now, he just recently went in for his 16 month shots. He was 25lbs and 31 1/2 inches tall, he took the shots like a champ but did manage to let out a good hard cry. Kory is very active and loves to play with all of his "balls and cars" he can say words but still needs a little prompting. We have been active going to the river and doing things with him around the neighborhood. He loves the water and spends a few days a week in the pool.

Weekend at home

Kory really likes to walk around the shallow end of the pool, he is starting to get his balance with all the water moving around him. He likes to ride around on his quad in the yard and on the patio....now if we could only get him to turn once in awhile!

4th of July Weekend!

Laura and I took a day off from work to take Kory to the Zoo again along with some local friends and some friends from Colorado. We spent the day looking at the animals and going into the petting Zoo. Enjoyed a roof top BBQ in Ocean Beach and had the annual "Savage Family Backyard BBQ"

Enjoying the river

We spent another weekend at the river, Kory enjoyed playing in camp with his buddy Nate and a few of the other kids that were down. It was nice and toasty but we all managed to have a great time and keep cool. Kory is really starting to become a "little boy" and is starting to show his independence.

River Trip

Well we went to the river again this past weekend, despite temperatures reaching into the 110* - 120* range Kory did really well, we kept him hydrated with lots of water and gatorade. He got to play in his "Tug Boat" floaty and I took him on his first tube ride. Laura and I both got to wakeboard and Kory watched very attentively from the boat. We will be heading back this coming weekend for what might be the last trip until it cools down.
